Default Throttle Position Sensor - common part between engines?

The TPS on my 1999 S2000 has been broken (don't ask how - as I'm still pi$$ed off about it) - and the dealer told me it only comes as part of the whole throttle body - which they will kindly replace for GBP 500!

Does anybody know if the sensor is a common (Denso?) part between all PGMFI honda engines - I've checked the workshop manuals for recent Civics & Preludes - and they appear to look the same & have the same inputs & output range.

If they do - I should be able to source the part from a breakers yard & tell the dealership where to go!

Thanks

Steve

It generally is. As far back as when they were first used.

Email me as a reminder and I will check p/ns when I get home- I have both an H22, B20, and F22 TB at home and can check the TPS p/ns. IIRC, they are all the same and you can scavenge one from another TB.

WTF? 500 pounds for a TPS?

You might as well spend the extra couple of bucks and get the mugen/spoon throttle.
