no. i tried that too. i just don't want him to bend the valves by lettin it bounce off the rev limiter too much.

and it does the same thing in neutral.
I would have someone recreate this problem while stopped and watch the throttle under the hood when it happens. Does it actually get stuck or not?

I think it only sticks after it hits VTEC. You can't hit VTEC while stopped in neutral.

Like Billman said, hook up a scanner and see what the TPS range is at WOT whenever the problems appears.

You wont bend valves by hitting the limiter.

So if you are cruising say 3rd gear 5000 rpm....keep it to the floor. When you hit 6k, (without pushing the clutch pedal in) will the car continue to accelerate to redline on it's own? In other words, will the clutch hold and the car pull up to top speed in 3rd gear?

Your descriptions are not to exact detail...all details are needed...trust me I can help if I had them

This is by far the strangest issue I have heard of on the s2k so far. And I've seen many..

i've never tried to leave it in gear because i thought i would bend the valves if i let it bounce all day... i'll give it a try.
