throttle "sticking" when engine hits VTEC

When you hit vtec and the revs go to redline, does the car still accelerate? or do you keep a constant speed/drop in speed? easier to bounce off the limiter out of gear than in unless the clutch is slipping real bad

I think it only sticks after it hits VTEC. You can't hit VTEC while stopped in neutral.
