throwout bearing
Doubt it could make u lose performance less it is interfering with your gear changes.If something isn't right it should be repaired.Search greasing the clutch fork.Might help but if u got high miles, might be time for an upgrade.

As in: a better than OEM part?
I don't think so.
OEM throwout is fine as long as its lubed properly.
During installation.
Too bad you can't reach what really needs to be lubed when installed.
Its possible to drop a bit of grease on the throwout shaft but there should be grease in the groove of the throwout.

No No ,those super heavy duty high performance throw out bearings are the way to go
