Default Thumping at high revs?

I have noticed that with I rev my 01 S2K up to over 6500 RPM's that there is a thumping vibration. Only happens when I am accelerating hard, through any gear over 6500rpm's. Any thoughts on what this could be?

After doing a quick search seems as though it could possibly be rear CV's. Called the dealer and that is one expensive repair! $600-800. I have an extended warranty that should cover it though. I also have an odd whinning sound around 3000rpms under load.
