Like the title says. Not my first time doing an adjustment, just first time on the s. I did set it to a tighter tolerance but within spec. Any suggestions before I take it apart and redo it?
Thanks

You must have changed something. I always shoot for exactly mid-spec when doing adjustments. Are you positive that the procedure was followed regarding TDC on cyl 1,3,4,2? A few of the valves on the F20/22 are more difficult to get a feeler gauge into than others.
Sounds silly but check:
- Mixed up intake/exhaust valves specs
- Tool or piece of tool left in engine
- Accuracy of feeler gauge/ two gauge blades stuck together (mine are typically very oily and stick)
- Make sure that you check the clearance after everything is tightened down before moving on.
Generally, chatter = too loose, and if its far too tight the engine will not run.

#1 turn 180 #3 turn 180 crank #4 then #2
Actually set the exhaust to .010" and intake to .008". I think that's actually tight compared to what the Decal on the hood says. Ill fix tomorrow, prolly just one lash spec out.
