ticking noise

sometimes i get this ticking noise while the car is idling. as soon as i press on the gas it goes away. it's been doing this for awhile now, and the sound is considerably loud

There was another thread on this recently. Mine ticks too... I think that's normal..

Video would help...does it go away or does it just not become distinguishable from the engine noise? Could be a TCT, could be valves...a vid would help.
