Default ticking sounds...

I have a 2000 AP1 and it seems to be ticking now under acceleration, deceleration, and normal driving. you really con only hear it though when going slower and it sorta sounds as though there was like a wire or baseball card hitting my wheel. but I've checked and nothing looks out of place or wrong to my brief check. It seems to be coming from the rear left hand side of the vehicle and I recently had my rear tires replaced...I'm not sure whats going on..

anything I should look over again to be sure or some suggestions maybe to help diagnose?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an Appt. at Honda tomorrow and hopefully whatever it is will be covered by warranty.

I can pretty much guarantee you it's your bearings going out in your wheel hub. I just bought my '00 and ended up spending $1k on hub and bearing replacement 4 days afterward... It took a while to get heated up but once they did it sounded like a scraping noise dependant on car speed. Try driving next to a curb or wall and you'll be able to hear it better. More than likely the bearing will have to be replaced, but make sure that when it does the propper torque specs are used or it will fail quickly again.

Hope this helps

I had my wheel bearing go out its EXACTLY what you described. I'd put 95% on it.

That's exactly how I heard mine for the first time, Driving along a wall.

I hope they can fix that once they fix my baby from the wreck. Do you think that would be covered by a warranty? I certainly hope so!
