thats a reasonable diagnosis.. hopefully nothing else was damaged. any play in the crank?

yea the crank can slide a little because there are no thrust washers in there.. does anyone know how to install new thrust washers?

Are you saying this is some sort of crank walk issue caused by a higher clamping force pressure plate? If so, what clutch is on your car. Thanks.

i am planning on changing the bottom end to a 2.2 or i might just do a complete 2.2 swap any suggestions guys? thanks

updates, i took the engine apart, and i am sending the shortblock to the machine shop on monday to find out if this can be repaired... keeping my fingers crossed

machine shop guy says the crank is prolly messed up, but he wont know for sure untill he take it apart,

any idea where i can get a crank for a good price?
