Default Timing

Is there any way to adjust the timing on my S2000 without adding any aftermarket parts or modifying the car?

I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that it's going to be hard to modify the car (adjusting the timing) without modifying the car.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Maybe someone else will have a useful answer...

No. Unfortunately, you can't modify timing on the S without using some sort of aftermarket device.

In fact, the V-AFC would work a lot better if the timing could be modified in conjunction with the VTEC point. So if someone starts looking for this "device", the shizit would be something that could do the VTEC point, fuel trim and timing offsets (all in one).

BTW, Ted, I was thinking the exact same thing as I read the top post

I assume that Decarboniser was referring to changing the timing by rotation of the distributor - as in Bseries engines etc. - ie. no actual modification needed for an easy power gain.

However, the f20c is distributorless - so unfortunately you can't do this.

Go Motec/Wolf/etc baby full tune
