Default Timing Belt

My big brother, an ME and garage mechanic just gave me this lecture, after I told him how easy the serpentine belt was to change:

"Everyone worries about the belt they can see, but it's the one you can't see that will kill you. It's the timing belt that you need to worry about. When it fails, pistons meet
valves, everything disintegrates, and you get to buy a new engine".

"And don't forget to change the water pump while you're in there."

I played with the search function, couldn't find a coherent thread on this. Anyone got the link to it, or know what Honda says about this? Car is a 2004, 68,000 miles now,
runs perfect.

All s2000 have a timing chain. There is no belt to replace.
