Hello everyone, I am gathering everything I need to do the timing and oil pump chain replacements and I was wondering what other components would be wise to be replaced at the same time??
I searched through the threads and could not come up with a thread really pertaining to this topic. I have a list of items.
Complete timing chain and component kit
valve cover gasket set
Water pump
Spark plugs
PCV
Oil and filter
Idler pulley
Tensioner or just Tensioner pulley
Timing cover seal
Serpentine belt
VVT gasket/screen
Air filter
Some items on the list are dependant on wear and or time in service. Are there other items i should check for specific to the S2K?
I just recently acquired the car from my sister who has had it since 2009. Our father bought it new in 2001 amd this is the first time I have had an opportunity to work on an S2K. Ibe many honda and have done complete engine rebuilds, head swaps, trans rebuilds. So hondas aren't new but I am seeking advice from the S2K community about these cars specifically.
Thank you.

You can't find any threads on it because its not a thing. There is no reason to do any of this service.
This isn't a German car. Aside from some basic things you replace on a schedule, you only fix it when its actually broke.
Fluids
Coolant
Plugs
Thats pretty much it. Everything else you service/replace when it wears out or causes a symptom or gets dirty.

Yep.
There are some good threads on what to do or look for when you first get a car. Depending on the year of it, certain things to check are the way to go: The torque of the rear axle nuts, for example. If you are anxious to replace something before it breaks, consider a Billman TCT X so you will never have to worry about the OEM TCT giving you problems in the future.
