Thumbs up Timing Chain Tensioner

I just have recently installed my first timing chain tensioner and OMG is was way too hard to install.
I did my research and people were claming it takes 10mins, i dont know about all that.

I knew what i had to do with the "pin" and the mantianince seal.
My #1 problem that took 3 people and 1 hr to do was to compress the piston of the TCT.

I tried to do it my self and no way my finger hurt so bad!
I tried it with two people and we go it all the way compressed but we didnt have anyone to put the pin in.
It took three people to just get this "piston" compressed.
Overall i did it and my car does not make that damn "clicking noise anymore

I just want to know how some other people on S2ki went about installing the TCT?

You can put a bolt (m6?) in the back which compresses the piston when you tighten it. I compressed it and put the pin in by myself relatively easily. You just have to hold the bolt from backing out before you can put in the pin. I can't even imagine doing it the other way with brute force.

m5 x .80 bolt with matching nut would have been much easier.

I replaced my TCT a couple months ago, and I'm confused, why did you have to compress it?

Shouldn't it have come already compressed?

But yeah, if it comes compressed, it's only a 10 minute job.

I've done it with brute force, and it was probably in my top ten worst decisions ever. I had c-clamps and I twisted it while compressing. I wanted to kill myself.
