Titanium Retainers for 2001 S2000
I purchased some SUPERTECH Titanium valve retainers Part # RET-K20A2/T2 the tech on the phone said I could use my original cotters/keepers. Does anyone know for sure if he was correct? The car is a 2001 S2000, engine is stock with 86,000 miles and about 2000 track miles. FYI none [/size]of the stock retainers were cracked. I have not adjusted the valves yet so if I need different cotters I can quickly swap them out.
Thanks for any input or experience.

There are 2 differnt cotters. ap1 and ap2. The taper angle is different.
If the "tech" says you can use oem keepers, he is dead wrong on on type of them. There is NO WAY you can use Ti retainers in both cars which have different angle retainers, but maybe one of them.
Do your homework and get a 100% answer. In my book, retainers and keepers are designed together. find the right stuff.
