Last week my car developed a knocking noise and it sounded like a scored cylinder. I didn't take a video of it but it sounded similar to this:

Thinking #4 was the problem, I unplugged the injector for it and the sound went away. I swapped the plugs and coil packs around to see if they were the problem but #4 still sounded bad. After that I did a compression test and came out at ~220 across all cylinders and inspected the bores of all the cylinders from the top with a borescope and from the bottom after dropping the pan just to make sure they weren't scored. I took the end caps off the con rods and the bearings and journals were fine. There were no metallic flakes or anything shiny in the oil or the filter. I also took the valve cover off to see if there was anything broken in the valvetrain but everything looked normal. At this point I don't know what else could be causing the knocking sound. Anybody have an idea of what it could be? Its a MY00 w/ ~68k on it.

 

I know you said you checked the bearings... but that sure sounds like rod knock in the video you linked.
