Toasted Differential?

Toasted Differential?
Probably been covered here numerous times, but my diff suddenly started making noise on deceleration AFTER I drive it for an hour or so. No noise unrltil it's driven for awhile. Same noise whether or not the clutch is in or out and same noise in every gear. Its a Puddy Mod rear end. Can it be rebuilt? Diff was very hot when I felt it after my 30 Mile drive today.
I've read the prior posts on this and sure sounds like my diff is dying. No leaks, I've owned it for about 5k miles, no known mileage or abuse history.
what wears out in these? Car makes about 300 HP.

It got a bit worse today. I drove it and measured the heat at the various bearing locations.
On the way back home it got loud enough to easily hear. It a wavering squeek from the driver's side that goes away when I turn left. I'm thinking wheel bearing now. This is much better that a rear end issue. I'll follow up with this when I know for sure.

hard to tell from your description of the noise. first post had no description of noise. second post describes a wavering squeak. i would guess wheel bearing also.
