let me be a skeptic, but while the individual throttle bodies look nice and racey, i do not think they will be of great benefit. the reason i think that is:

1. there is no good intake setup. filters for these trumpet style intakes are either socks or a oval foam element that covers all the holes. in any case it will unfortunately be sucking nice hot engine bay air. most of these setups run in open wheel cars where the trumpets stick out in the fresh air.

2. intake trumpet style intakes can only truly benefit one mode of frequencies. that makes their powerband very 'lumpy', since the efficiency will fluctuate with rpms, which is a pita in a street car.

3. a year ago i had an experience with a known german tuner where their itb setup claimed 20-30 hp on an e36 m3, but tests showed that it lost 5hp. they never really said why and withdrew the product real quick once people started getting pissy.

before someone mentions the arguement that f1 cars have trumpets and itbs, so they cant be bad and i am full of it...well, yes, you are right.but...
a. they really only run a certain rev range,
b. they also have a nice big airbox to get fresh air from,
c. that airbox volume and shape is also tuned to the engine
d. the intakes are variable length to make the most of the "tuning" effect

BUT, i will say the parts look well made and i think they will work well for the right application

beroz, with all this on the horizon, I have a felling it won't be much longer...

Another problem with the sports injection kit would be the nessecity of having a complete stand alone tuning system, i.e. HKS FCon, AEM EMS.... Each TB has to be tuned individually, making it a no no for budget tuners... As far as the trumpets sucking in hot air, I would have to agree, if I though toda would overlook such a problem.... I am assuming they have developed something to counter act this.... then again, maybe not... we'll have to wait and see....
