Default Top doesn't go up/down consistently

After removing the center console to rewire my stereo, my top has been acting strange.

This is what I notice so far. When the brake light doesn't come on, the top would not move. If I pulled the hand brake, it lags a second before it lids up (if it does). Sometimes the "brake" lid is not on.

Originally, I thought the connector was loose under the center console but have checked several times. I removed 3 connectors off when I pulled the center console out (emergency light, top control, and defroster).

1) During my stereo rewire, I had to disconnect a little connector in the spare tire area (right side after removing the spare you will see it) to run my distribution block through.

2) I pushed the car backward without starting the engine so I had room time to work with.

Any idea guys.

Yep. Either that or the connector isn't set correctly. No brake light, no top movement. I'd bet the problem is under the center console.
