Default top problem

well....last week i was putting my top down and it stopped about 6 inches short and wouldn't go down any further so I tried putting it back up and it went up.then i tried putting it back down and it went down fine......now... today the same thing happened agian... so i put the top up and then down again...it was fine.I drove the car to my destination then put the top up.I then noticed that I had cuts right under where the latchs are on both sides about an 1-1 1/2 long (can't find camera right now ..will post pictures when i find it)Anyways I'm thinking it's a malfunction in the top....I'm sure warrenty should cover this.Anyways just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Peace
David

It might be the control unit of the top going out, Mine did the same thing but never came up. Honda charged 250 to replace it

Take it in to get looked at or take pictures. Sounds like an alignment problem.

It can also happen when the top is cold or stiff, it will not go down as far as when it's been out in the sun.

Actually...I've read a couple of threads of this happening to other members. Some malfunctioning of the top where the latches punched a hole through the soft top. Try searching for the thread...its on here somewhere.

Did you maybe leave the latches open when you lowered the top?
