Tornado..... another idea.
I know the tornado is pretty much a gig, but i have a q' i'd like to put past the experts. The idea i'm setting forth seems way too cheap, and way too good to be true, which means it probably is. If i didn't ask however i'd be cheating myself. So, here it is. If you were to take a small engine, either electric or a small gas one, and power a compresser with it, a small turbo, how much power could you net from it?? could it be an easy way of gain say 40hp for less that 1200$???? just curious, thnx
Do a Google on the 'net for "electric supercharger."
Basically, you've heard of the parasitic loss from a belt-driver supercharger? It's, what, ~50hp for some applications? So you'd need a 50hp power source somewhere to drive your idea... A couple hundred pounds of batteries could do it. Or a 400cc motorcycle engine. Where would you put it?
I don't know what the cf/m rating of our intake at WOT @ 9000rpm is, but I'd suspect it's greater than any sort of 12V powered fan you'll ever find. You'd essentially be restricting the airflow, not helping it.

Elistan, i'm sure your right. As far as the motors go though, you wouldn't need a motor that large though. Isn't the 50hp loss usually resulting in a 100-120hp gain...?? So for for half that, say 60 horses, you need only 25hp
oh well! i know its just a bunch of bs, but its nice to dream cheap hp!
