Torque problems under 3000 on '04?

Ok maybe I was smoking crack (figure of speech) at the time. There is nothing at 3000 rpm. The power increases fast but continuously. I still want to be able to launch at decent speed without burning rubber, it seems if I launch at 3k then the engine bogs down to 2k after a second, I probably need to adjust to new clutch and slip it a bit. Launching at 4k results in burning rubber which is something I don't want to do.

according to my dyno chart, the VTEC crossover in the 04 produces more of a jump in power than the 00-03. in fact, my 04 made more torque before VTEC than the 00-03 did in vtec!

oh, ignore the torque spike at 3000 rpm, that was from the 4IG intake I had on the car at the time (so yah, it's not bone stock there)

where are you guys in south bay getting your cars dynoed? Impressive numbers on the MY04! I want to dyno mine too (~3000mi).

I had no problems launching my car at 4-5k i went through the water did a quick burnout...mabye 1-2 full rotations....revved the car between 4-5k and dumped the clutch and floored the gas....bone stock i was cracking great r/t's my best was .017 and my worst was .031 my first time out at the track with the car.
