Default Tranny ans Diff Fluid

I just purchased a Competition Stage 2 Clutch And Ultra Lightweight Flywheel from Automotive Speed. When get everything installed I am going to change all my fluids. What should I run in the diff and in the transmission? I want to get seafoam to clean the engine and I need some advice on what Oil to run. I have tried Mobil 1 and Quakerstate High RPM witch was recomended to me by my shop. Both of them can not combat this engine it just eats up all the oil by 2500 miles . Thanks of all your input

No matter what oil you are going to use.. your engine will consume oil.
That is no problem.. if you check the level at every fill up (as stated in your manual) and top off when needed.
I find it hard to believe you drive 2500 miles on one (1) tank of fuel
If you really did.. tell us how!

On top of UTH there are the famous "Oil Journals" and hey cover just about every oil ever used in/on an S2000.

IMHO, and many other respected members on forums....best fluids for an s2000....

Engine:

Amsoil Synthetic 10-30 oil (Assuming you are over 10,000 miles)

Oil Filter:
Amsoil EO Oil Filter

Clutch:

Tranny Fluid:
Amsoil Synthetic Tranny Fluid
Better than any other tranny fluid you can buy, including redline and GM. I have used them all, and this one is FAR superior.

Diff Fluid:

Available in the s2ki marketplace.

IMHO, you cannot get better fluids for your car. They are a tiny bit more expensive, but if you get them in bulk, you will pay the same as the over the counter stuff (2.5 gallon jugs)

Again, the above is IMHO only.....

607 Almasol for the diff. That much I know for sure.

I went with Honda MTF for the tranny.

I'm also on the LE-607 train for the differential (watch out though - its SAE 90, if you live in a colder climate, this may create problems as its flow temp is -23 celcius, below that, its solid).

I went with the new Honda MTF for the transmission, haven't tried anything else.

Just like to add one thing....opinions are opinions, but facts are facts. Amsoil products (with the exception of their gear oil), in lab tests, come in at number one in every category except extreme cold climates. Read the oil journals in this section of s2ki and youll see.

And before anyone says anything, I have nothing to do with Amsoil. I dont sell it, nor do I care if anyone buys it. Its just the best fluid you can buy IMHO.
