Tranny oil time!

Default Tranny oil time!

Ok, my 03's at 9300mi. I'm all read up on trans oil change procedures.. .now the dilema, GM syncromesh FM? Mobile1 synth? honda MTF? or Redline mt-90? whats in YOUR tranny?

instead of the quick and easy "answer my question" why don't you read the "TRANNY OIL CHANGE" post that was right below yours when you posted, or the Multiple "Oil Journal" posts that are stickied, and available w/ a quick and very easy search.

Honestly, it's really quite sad you didn't even just, look at the forum.

BUT: GM Synchromesh Friction Modified is a good way to go

There isn't a Mobil 1 transmission oil (that I've heard of). I've tried all the others you listed, and GMSFM is the best.

do they make GMsycromesh FM for the diff fluid too? I might change that this weekend too. I heard GM dealers are having a hard time finding this stuff cuz it's not too popular. anyone have a source? S2ki marketplace dont have it!

thanks candy. it says partially synthetic in decription. is that what i want? not full synthetic? also, this may seem stupid, but does the S require a certain weight? like 75w90? or are they all the same for sycromesh?
