Default Transferring 06+ AP2 guts into another chassis

I recently got into an accident whereby my 09 GPW was declared a total loss. I'm looking to transfer the entire 'guts' of the car (everything besides the frame essentially) into a new chassis/shell. Would I need to find an 06+ AP2 or would an 04/05 also suffice? I know there are some differences such as the passenger floorboard, weight sensor for passenger seat airbag, etc. Would everything still port over correctly? I understand that an AP1 shell would be out of the question, since my subframe would likely not fit (please correct me if I'm wrong however). Thanks in advance

Thanks - would my interior pieces (namely the carpet) fit an AP1 chassis no problem as well?

I strongly suggest finding an 06-09 donor. Subframe will fit but that will be the least of your problems. The body is different in many spots, primarily the seats areas, and all vsa/brake/dbw component mounting points.

Thanks Billman - that's exactly what I needed to know
