Transmission Issues.
I noticed some metal particles on the transmission magnetic drain plug when I drained the few thousand mi old Redline fluid today. This is not surprising considering the occasional but rare botched shift, and parhaps a track session. A magnetic drain plug may be helpful to prolong transmission life or at least prevent additional wear. If the Spoon plug package is purchased, I used the longer magnet for the transmission, as both plugs would fit both trans drain and crankcase drain.
I noticed that the 'old' unopened Honda MTL I had in the garage smelled more of sulfur than the fresh Redline MTL. Honda MTL may be the best for S2000 application. I think Cdelena advocates Honda MTL. Fresh MTL may allow better shifting than as to whatever brand is used, as well.

I believe Honda's MTL and Redline are quite different (color, being one obviously
), with the Honda's at least with more of a scent of differential fluid. Whether this is better or not, I am not sure. It's just that for me, Redline wasn't 'perfect', and Honda's specs for fluid seems like its own mtl fluid would fit the bill the best. Maybe not perfect, but perhaps better or at least as good as anything else.Spider, neither of the the stock transmission plugs are magnetic, as Cdelena stated.
