Default Tricks to remove dowel pins from cam caps?

So i seem to have misplaced a few parts. Thought i was keeping track of everything but i guess not.

Missing a couple dowel pins that keep the cam caps straight. i have extras but they are stuck.

Tried some needle nose with cloth around them to pull them out. The metal still got gouged and it didnt move at all.

Did you twist them back and forth, I always get dowels loose by twisting before pulling, and I go with needle nose pliers too.

yes i did. those things are stuck.

Could try some penetrating oil or get a torch to heat up the metal on the outside. Trying to find something i can do right now though.

Try a can of compressed air and cool them down, maybe tape off the metal area around them so you just spray the pins themselves. I've used that on brake rotor screws with good success.
