Troubleshooting 2007 AC Clutch
Folks,
I recently picked up a 2007 S2K. When I got it, the AC didn't work. The previous owner told me that the AC compressor was "bad", so I just bought a whole repair kit from Rockauto.com. I replaced the compressor, the belt, the dryer, the condenser, the o-rings, etc and had the system evacuated/charged with the correct refrigerant and oil in the correct amounts. When turned on, the AC compressor clutch doesn't kick on. I have checked the connection on the compressor, it is good. I swapped relays with a fan relay, no change. I pulled the pressure switch from the dryer and shorted the terminals, no change.
I have a service manual PDF for AP1s, couldn't find one for AP2. In the AP1 manual, it starts by checking the #20 fuse under the dash and #58 fuse under the hood, which don't exist on the AP2. Further down, you check for voltage between the #1 terminal of the AC relay and ground with the ignition off, there should be 12v. I have 0v. The manual says to replace the fuse box...is that really the fix? Or does some other fuse supply that terminal, different from how it is on the AP1s? Or am I way off track altogether?

Ok, so I actually solved this one after typing up the thread but before posting it. I posted the thread anyway just so the solution would be captured for people searching in the future. My condenser fan fuse was blown. It is not mentioned in the service manual, but since it seemed unlikely that one terminal on the bottom of my fuse panel was broken, I decided to check all of the fuses. I replaced the fuse and everything seems to be operating correctly. Thanks anyway!
