Question Aircon Compressor Clutch

Hi all - this is my first post in this forum.

I own an AP1 - I have noticed that the AC clutch doesn't spin at all even with AC turned on.

I check the wire by multi-meter and can't see any voltage going to the compressor.

For testing - I connected a direct wire from the battery and the AC clutch worked - also the aircon is blowing cold air.

I check the fuse under the hood and swap them over with the horn but still no luck.

Appreciate any advise.

There's a load protector on the compressor which also acts like a fuse, have you checked this?

Hi slowcrash - an aircon mechanic will check the car tomorrow. Since the ac worked on direct battery - I am hoping a re-gas will fix the problem

Thanks

Turns out that there is no ac gas. No leak upon testing by a professional ac mechanic. Simple re-gas fixed the problem

Did they add die? Alot of times a leak will show after a couple weeks of running but die needs to be added.
