Yes, because it's stock metal trunk.

EVOs an STIs also have a stock metal trunk. I think the S is made from aluminum. Is it very common for wings to get ripped out of the trunk? Wouldn't that take a lot of drag to do so?

the S trunk is steel. a magnet will stick to it.

Its not so much the wing ripping off the trunk, it's the trunk skin bending due to the downforce
