Alright guys I have been searching, i was just wondering would it be possible to get a trunk release button on the 2000 s2000. I wanted to see if anyone came across without putting an aftermarket alarm. Can you just get the the factory alarm from the newer s2ks and just rerprogram it? Would that work? Anyone want to chime in? Also the new chipped keys? would they even work with the 2000 ap1 ignition?

 

OEM keyless has trunk pop already. My car had trunk release before i installed the alarm. Then I wired a trunk pop with my alarm. Im not really sure what you're asking.

some didn't come with it for whatever reason. I have a 2001 with no trunk release on my OEM clicker. I got pissed when I saw everybody else had one. haha oh well.

 

Remotes from other Hondas of that era ('99 CRV for instance) also work and have a release. Cheap to buy.

 

Yea my dads 00 civic didn't have it. My 00 has the trunk release. I'm sure you can just buy a new remote and it's probably already wired up. If not then you have an extra remote..

Well if you need a new remote anyways just go buy it and cross your fingers while you hold the trunk release button.
