I've got a 00 AP1 in my garage right now with a trunk release on the remote.

The keyless unit is wired to the trunk release on all years.

there's a guy here in Hawai'i that is the only owner since new of an 00 and he swears his clicker didn't come with a trunk button. I think Honda dropped the ball and handed out the wrong clicker with their car. Anything is possible.

I have a MY00 and the VIN is low 0636,, and I have trunk pop on my remote,so that should rule out "early" models dont have it and then wired it to my aftermarket alarm...I think like many have said u just have the wrong remote

i belive that it is wired to work , but I think somewhere down the line a batch of the wrong remotes were handed out in the first place. should be a TSB. haha
