Default Trust Ti-R single titanium catback drone help :(

Hi there,

I just bought a single Trust ti-R full titanium catback exhaust for my 1999 Honda s2000, the previous owner said he had no drone in cabin but for some odd reason I do especially at 2k and about 4.5k rpm. I can't figure out why he didn't drone but I do, he says that it could be that he might have a high flow cat but he isn't 100% sure because he bought the car like that (so he thought it was stock), would buying a high flow cat make that make any difference?

I've searched and searched, I've read a testpipe may work, hfc or even a cat delete? but just wanted some opinions on this particular exhaust as there are not many threads about it if thats okay?

Don't get me wrong the exhaust sounds amazing from the outside but cabinwise, I can't live with it.

I had to put the silencer on because I couldn't stand the drone, however now it doesnt sound as good on the outside but is decent in the cabin. I can't win

Is there anything I can do to salvage this exhaust or should i just sell it on and put stock back on?

Thanks heaps.

His idea of drone could be completely different from yours.

Thanks for your reply, well I asked him and a few other people (on separate occasions) who have been in it, and they said no drone either

Test pipe should help but you will not eliminate the drone with that exhaust I don't believe. Almost all aftermarket exhausts (even duals) will drone to some extent. Effects will obviously be worse with the top up.

It's worth a shot.. $80 and an hour worth of your time to swap a test pipe in.

95% of all aftermarket exhausts drone at some load/rpm. What you were told was poor recall and wishful thinking.
