I have searched for some nearby dyno shops that would tune, and it looks like I'll have to do the tuning myself. I'm new to the VAFC, so I'll have to figure out how it works, but I thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips. Any particular reason to lower or raise the VTEC engagement? Suggestions on inital test settings for tuning? (of course after a baseline run I mean)

Maybe we could also try to make a FAQ for this kinda stuff in the s2ki.com library.

I've searched and read quite a bit, but not a whole lot on the tuning when doing it yourself.

Other questions... what should I set my Unmt VTEC settings to if I decide to lower my VTEC engagement point? What should I set ThrottleHi and ThrottleLo to? (10% and 50%? or higher?) I have also read that since the ECU learns on closed loop, should I ONLY adjust the WOT settings?

At this point there are probably thousands of threads on this. More specifically, look at the top of this forum for the V-AFC library of settings. Just be careful... although the car runs a bit rich from the factory always better to err on the side of caution.

When searching, you should try both "VAFC" and "V-AFC".

My car is almost stock, and I found that I benefited by lowering my VTEC engagement point to 5600 or 5700 RPMs. My Lo / Hi Throttle settings are at 80% / 81%, and all my narrow throttle corrections are at 0. I wanted to make sure that my ECU would be in open loop when the V-AFC starts working.

Here is a thread where UL gave me a lot of tuning pointers (Here).

Mine are at 10%/50%, but I believe UL posted that he usually puts them at 20%/60%.

Yes. Night and day. IMO, there is no way to properly tune a supercharged car without a V-AFC. I think a V-AFC is a minimum for tuning - something like the Greddy eManage, AEM EMS or Motec (if they make one) would provide your tuner with largest set of tools for getting the most out of your car safely.
