Well, if my smaller 2.0 can make 350 rwhp with a SC, the 2.2 with a turbo should easily be able to be tuned to 350 rwhp or more.

Use an AEM EMS

You can turbocharge anything and make any amount of power you want to, provided that the internals are strong enough, and the fuel is high enough octane. There are many many companies that will make various components of your motor stronger, provided that you can give them measurments, etc, or send them sample parts.

I have made well over 500 rwhp with my motor, and I expect that I can reach about 640 rwhp before I reach the limits of my current turbo. The guy who built my motor has made over 700 (and then sprayed on top of that.) I have made about 30-40 passes on the dyno at 23 psi, and maybe 60-80 passes at 17-18 psi, and 30-40 passes at 14 psi. I have ran it hard on the streets at times (during tuning mainly.) The motor has lasted just fine.

The turbo is ethier on or off basically, it gives you alot of torque so you don't have to rev the motor out at much. Less down shifting is required to get the car moving as well. Basically what I am saying is that when you're off boost, you can rev the motor less and still get better power.

If it is built right, and tuned right, it will last.

Chris
