sorry if this post is a little long
Hey, when it's full of info there is nothing to apologise for.

Sounds like my need are very much between a GT28 and 30. I'm going out to see Chris on Sunday so I can probably make a decision then.

Question,
If I push 5.5 psi on the gt28 will it still be able to produce good whp #'s.
Right now I push 5.5 and make 313 to the ground on my 60-1, or would I need to push more pounds on the gt28?
I dont think I would change turbo but was just wondering the capabilities of the gt28 since its rated at 325hp.

he needs a smaller turbo. always go with the smallest turbo that will fit your hp requirements. if your hp requirements change, than so should your turbo. putting a GT35R on a car with goals of only 350 hp is overkill.
Which is why I said I'd choose a 30R

1. Explain benefits of Garrett GT series turbos
2. Make recommendation

Seemed simple at the time

Best of luck on the turbo Aus2000, just remember that boost is addictive and you're likely to want more

Personally, I think the GT28R is a little small for S2000 purposes, but if you don't mind a cap on the top end potential, it'll work fine. I'd choose a 30R myself.

UL
Do you have any reccomendations on AR sizing for 350-400 rwhp?

I had a 0.63 T3 turbine housing with 2.5" outlet on my GT30R. IMO, it's a bit too small. I'll be switching to s 0.82 a/r turbine housing with a 3" discharge. I'm hoping to keep quick spool (since it's a GT series) yet gain significantly on the top end.

Maybe UL has some better recommendations. . .
