Sorry nibble, The Oil feed line runs from the Oil pressure sending unit to an Oil jet in the SC. The oil is returned to the pan. Both Comptech and Vortech use similar systems to supply pressurized oil to the SC and return oil not under pressure to the oil pan.

If the engine is running, Oil is lubricating the SC and draining back to the pan.

The whole purpose of a turbo timer is to allow the Turbo to cool by idling the engine, thus supplying the turbo with oil. Instead off shutting the engine off, removing the oil supply to the bearings, but the turbine wheels are still spinning.

On a Centrifualgal SC, as soon as the belt stops turning, the impellar wheel stops as well.

On journal bearing centersection turbo's it was fairly common for the oil to cook in the extremely hot centersection, if the engine was not allowed to idle and cool the bearings.
