Default Uncommon Engine Shuts off

have a 00' and as of the last couple of months my car would shut off out of no where. let me explain some of the details, going around 50mph in the highway the car completely shut off and it would not turn back on. It had done it before but it would allowed me to turn it back on immediately becuase it would just bog. This time it was different, the entire gauge cluster would be completely shut off. the power windows, the emergency signals, stereo, headlights everything would turn on while the key was turn on. But the gauge cluster, speedometer, check engine light etc would not turn on, the fuel pump works, i've tested the alternator, bought a new battery, tested the ECU and everything seems fine, check the fuses on the fuse box under the hood and on the driver side and nothing is out of the ordinary, but i cant get the car to turn on. For the past 2 months it had been doing that but after a few minutes it would turn back on, but after last night the car wont turn on at all, i cant seem to know whats wrong with it and none of my friends can figure it out. Someone mention something about the pig tail but i wanted to know if you have ever heard of such problem and if you have any idea what it is or how can i fix it. Please advice. Thank you for your time

does "newer cars" include the MY2000 s2k?

i don't think the s2000 has this low pressure engine shut off feature.

If no fuse blown, then the battery or connection from it is likely shorted.

Make sure you checked all the fuses, though.

There are fuse panels under the hood as well as under the steering wheel.

lol, i bet you hit your keys with your knee. it happened to me on the freeway and i thought my car was doing a system shutdown so i pulled over but it started again. i didnt even feel my knee hit my keys and the key didnt even need to be turned, just tapped. it happened to me twice so i just keep my s2k key in my wallet and leave the rest of my keys/keychain in the car.

either its the PGM-FI relay or your ignition switch is in need of changing. does the green immobilizer light flash when the car shuts off like you shut off the car with the key? if so then more than likely its the switch.
