Default Unexpected mod - a Mishimoto radiator...

My OEM radiator took a crap today, it pissed coolant all over the engine bay, leaked out the hood and ran up the car, all over the windshield, etc.

Not pretty.

So after washing the car real good to get the junk off it and taking a closer look at the radiator, I found there's about a 3 inch crack in the plastic expansion tank on the front.
I'm guessing I need a new one. Am currently looking at Mishimoto, any other good brands I should be considering?

decided to go with Mishimoto. I ordered one from a friends who's got a business, it should be here in a few days.

We took the old one out and did the transmission fluid while the car's out of commission for a while. Also going to do the diff and engine oil too.

here's a pic of me and the old radiator:

mishimoto is a made in china aluminum radiator, compared to some other "JDM" brands. The mishi doesnt have the sweetest welds & construction isnt as sexy, but it works well! Rocking the mishimoto for a year or two and it works good.

be careful with this , my buddy got one for his is300 and one of the hole did not line up right. it was off by 1/2 an inch. he contacted them and he was told, to bolt them up lightly then tighten them but it's not possible since the bolts did not line up at all.

I have a Mishimoto and it works great. I don't know how usefull this is but it has a magnetic drain plug. Everything lined up perfectly on mine. Make sure you get enough teflon tape on your fan switch and the drain plug. Its a pita to have to drain it and retape right after you just get done installing it. (I might have done this ) Hope it works good for ya.
