Default Unnerving sound from the rear

OK i know about the "clicking" from the rear so i did you the search feature! however i am getting a clicking that seems to be more persistant. Whenever i switch directions, foward to reverse it does it. That seems to be the norm with the TSB one, however mine seems to keep clicking a bit longer then what others have discribed. Like several click click clicks when i start to excelerate. I can hear it very distinctly when turning a corner with a curb next to me. any thoughts? hopefully i am making something out of nothing here? just dont want my rear end to explode. My car is a 01 with 20k on it. drivin very spiritedly with a few clutch drops but not many. I can count them on my fingures. Thanks in advance

If you're getting a clicking that only happens when you're turning, it's most likely a bad CV joint.

You can crawl under the car and inspect the boots to see if they're ripped. If so, you'll need to replace them.

If it ONLY makes the noise when switching directions, I wouldn't expect it to be a CV joint.

It is mainly when i switch directions, however it continues to click for 5-20 feet while i go foward depending how fast i take off. If i very slowly creep it keeps clicking for a while

It sounds a bit to me like a wheel bearing that is starting to go out. I had to replace my right rear wheel bearing a few weeks ago, and it took months for me to diagnose. The noises started out quiet and intermittent, then slowly got worse and worse.
