Looking for a TSB on our door locks. Mine just broke. Little plastic part that failed and car is now out of warrantee. Cost for whole deal is over $240.

I got on one of there other computers and showed them the info on S2ki, and how other owners had there cars fixed because there was a TSB for it but he still did not belive me. I had to call AHM and talk to there costomer servise. I dont know if Honda told them to give me my money back, but a few days later they said they were going to mail me a check.
I just had this one, the Axle Pops or Creaks, done by an independent. (At 50,000 miles I'm way out of warranty. Cost $8 for two new spindle nuts and $44 labor.) It isn't a TSB, but something less official called a Technical Service Note, #011201, the page image VFROOOM posted above.

I watched the tech do the work. The noise is due to the spindle nut rubbing against the hub. What fixes it is the grease they apply between the nut and the hub. The extra torque isn't strictly necessary, just a little more friction to keep it from shifting around as much. Except that the noise is annoying, you could probably go 100,000 miles without it becoming a mechanical issue.

I have a membership and I still haven't been able to track down the TSB list. Anyone knows where it did go? I recall there was a link for it on the home page when I first got on this site.

Thanks! I figgured out they're available to all members if you go from the home page and click the link to one of the TSB's in the most read section. Then just go change the ID number in the link in your browser. They range from 15-40 I believe.
