Default Upgraded Brake System

I'm thinking about upgrading some of my brake system and wanted some opinions. I want to get new front and rear rotors, probably slotted. New pads, stainless steel brake and clutch lines too. What are some opinions on the different options from Science of Speed, Stop Tech etc.? Also any significance in different brake fluids? I'm not looking for track pads or big brake kits, just a little upgrade for the street is all I need

Thanks

UTH is the wrong forum for product recommendations. And please define "upgrade". Looks? Life? Cost? Heat capacity? Weight? What is it about the brake system currently on the car that displeases you?

My bad meant to be in Mods forum...
Anyways, I'm looking for performance upgrades. Little better bite to the brakes, from better pad, SS lines. Weight isn't a huge issue, don't really want to add a bunch. I don't track the car so heat isn't a big concern. I'm trying to spend less than $!k for the lot of it.

sounds more like you want looks.
even for track duty, the stock system is very capable.
i would recommend calipers front and rear with a change to slotted rotors up front and leaving the rear rotors as is.

Yup.

Look folks, if bling is what you want then be honest and say so. You'll get better answers. But there are no "performance upgrades" for the S2000 brake system that are worth the money unless you track the car, and then it's just pads and fluid.

The exception might be if you radically upsize the HP, in which case you might need to upsize the heat capacity of the brakes to match.

There are a lot of better-looking brake choices out there, though. So like I say, be honest with yourself about what your goals are, and you will end up happier.

But by the crtiteria you have stated, my advice is to stay totally OEM stock.

Well I was looking for some better performance, but didn't really need to get a big brake kit. The looks of slotted rotors is of course a plus . If there isn't a real noticeable difference then it seems like a waste of money... SS lines could be a good upgrade maybe? Thanks, for the info. I'm still learning.

Go to Stoptech.com & click on find brakes for my vehicle. It's at the bottom of the page in red letters. Then select your make, model & yr vehicle. Below that you can check mark catagories related to your interests. Be sure to check the one listed as STAGE 2 BRAKE UPGRADE. Also PADS FOR STOCK CALIPERS & SPORTSTOP DIRECT REPLACEMENT ROTORS. I think these 3 will help you considerably. Click on all that you want. This is a great site to learn about all of the top brake products that are available for our S2k's. To the left of the page is a sidebar with how to order. Click on that & you can find a retailer in your area that sells Stoptech products. For straight-up answers simply call Stoptech @ the # posted on their website. Hope this helps.

Yeah, because they sure don't have a conflict of interest, do they?

I have a Comptech SC install all I have done to the brakes is braided hose with RBF600 fluid.
I track it and drive it hard with no issues!
