A main issue with the R33 diff is availability in the states...which in terms of spares go is about close to 0. If you want Arnold, you can talk to Z10 as they're very interested in doing the rear end using the diff I mentioned. That diff is good for 10 second passes and hopefully is close enough to fit. Problems once again with space because the gas tank is so low.

I will talk to them, I was trying to get something as close to OEM as possible but I guess the r33 is not going to hold. There are a few diff swaps out there already and they seem to be holding up pretty well. Each have removed the factory gas tank in order to run bigger external pumps. We are going that route too.

As far as the tranny, there are two holding some power with shot peening, cryo and polshing...I hope it works.

Great to know that so many people are interested

It would be great if we could get some discount. If we don't at least hopefully we can some priority with a bigger order.

BTW what are the best differential and gearbox's gear ratio for drag and track setups?

And yes I have 400rwhp and my Nissan R33 GTST diff is as strong as ever, also if you guys are chasing serious hp, you cannot do that with the standard gearbox or diff, I have broken 2nd gear in 3 gear boxes with only 340rwhp,
just for clarification purpose
elaug's dyno number is equivalent to around 450rwhp over your side of the world as we usually get around 125-130rwkw on the dyno dynamics and you guys get around 200rwhp for a stock engine.

The reason why $8000 is too much is because it'll be almost impossible to get 30 people to get it. I was fine with the price they were originally gonna shoot for and just buy 30 of them all at once myself and then sell them one at a time. Most people who blow the whole diff wont buy the thing and just buy another complete OEM rear end. Why? That's just how people are. Even though it'll cost the same, they'll more than likely still buy it from honda rather than Quaife. It's very hard to convince these companies to really do anything.

Just read this thread. Wow, I really like what kane.s2k was trying to do... however, does anybody know of ANY thread in which he was a part that didn't end with a lot of people pissed off at him and/or his attitude? The flood of arrogance and attitude that hit this thread was increadable, and that was before I was halfway done with the first page. By the end of that page I deceided to hell with kane no matter how much I want the product. And then it just hits a wall and kane falls in the mud, oh well, gave me a good long laugh. Emotional roller coaster or something.
Totally!

Been Reading this thread since the beginning.......There is some very good info in this thread. Any one know if Z10 is going to be making a diff????? I live only 10 blocks away from them and also am friends with one of the guys that works there. I met the owner once and he seemed very interested in the S2000. Also seen the F20c blocks that he was building. Looks like they do very good work and also keep a very clean shop.....

I am also interested in getting an upgraded diff even if the cost is high. I think of it as you get what you pay for. Also piece of mind of a stronger diff is worth the extra $$$.
