Default using the heat option for the ac

I have wanted to know if i set the ac off and dial the temp setting all they way up for heat does this help hot air out of the engine bay. I know silly question just wanted to know cause if not then i should not do it anymore and set it to cool and roll up the windows. Thanks for the info.

It does not pull hot air out of the engine bay. All incoming air comes through the cowl, and the cabin filter.

it does however help a hot engine to cool down on a hot day (ac off, heat on high)

heater can help cool the coolant/ engine temp but you are turning on a blower motor to do that.. or u can just let the cooling fans up front do the cooling for you..

even with a car a idle the fans dont stay on all the time..

just drive your car and do what you like

cars designed to take care of it self.. if it is well taken care of

Unless the car is overheating there is no reason to use your heat when its warm outside.
