Default Using VAFC leads for O2 Sim

I have a VAFC w/ harness and I'd like to install an O2 simulator. It looks like the VAFC has leads for everything that the O2Sim would use, so I'm wondering if it's OK to just splice into the VAFC leads when installing the O2Sim. By doing it this way, I wouldn't have to cut into the stock wiring or even the VAFC harness itself. But, I don't know much about resistances and voltages and all that fun EE stuff, so I just want to make sure that this is not going to have any undesirable impacts on the the readings that the ECU or VAFC or O2Sim see.

Is it OK to simply tap the appropriate leads (ground, ignition, RPM, etc) in order to get the readings that I need?

Thanks!
-Marcus.

Yes you can install a O2 sim on the PnP harness. That's how mine has been wired for 3 months. You do have to pay close attention to which wire you are tapping into, all the PnP harnesses I've seen use all the same wire color. You have to go by pin location.
