Default vafc question

I am considering getting a vafc. If i did and i decided that i didnt want it later, i can just take it out and everything will hook back up and look like it did before right? Also, if you unplug it and put everything back to normal, can you just put it back in and all your settings stay the same? So like if i was taking in my car to honda i could take it out and stuff. Thanks

yep. you can do just that, but you will need to get your hands on a harness. it not only makes the install much simpler, but it makes it easy to go back to a stock setup. i think it's www.vtecfrog.com that sells them or you can find them for sale on the boards fairly often.

here's a pic of where i mounted mine. this prob isn't the way for you, if you don't plan to keep it mounted there:

Did you dremel that out?

It seems that its either there or in the radio door for a truly clean install. Are there any other options?

tks, rick. it's good to receive high praise from the man whose site you hit up every day, hoping for some new toys.

i think i saw another clean install where someone installed it in the visor, s2k. seeing how small our cabin is, i try to keep things out of the way as much as possible. and that was a dremel job by a friend of mine. it's a pretty easy job since it only requires you to cut out the coin holder assembly and then about a 1"x1" square behind the emergency brake.
