vafc2 issues, need help!
hello all, i belive this is my first post here on this forum.
i have done some searching prior to posting, but attempting to weed through the thousands of topics is just far too time consuming.
my buddie has i belive an 01 s2000, i will verify more details this afternoon.
only modifications are aem v1 cold air intake and a recently installed vafc2.
the vafc2 was professionally installed and dyno tuned, however he is having problems with the car.
twice so far this has happened. you will be driving along and the car will behaving fine (vtec engagment point of 5800 rpm) then all of a sudden as you are getting on it right at the vtec engagment point the car hits a virtual brick wall and the check engine light pops on. the first time this happened we took it back to the installer and they cleared the code and said they fine tuned some more settings and took it for a solid test drive w/o it happening again.
well yesterday i had the luck of driving the car around for a few minutes. and to my surprise on the way back to his house as i neard 5000rpm i dropped my foot to the floor and just shy of 6k the car just died again, total loss of power and check engine light.
any ideas? i can provide any information you need.
