I noticed that my car has this noise whenever i started the car !
Does it normal noise for the s2000 or something wrong with it ?
If my engine making this noise so can i keep on running it or not ?

How long have you had the car?

Is this noise new?

Did you do a valve adjustment?

 

i did have the car for almost 1 year
its done 120.000 km
haven't done any valve adjustment yet and not sure about the last owner had done or not !
is this normal if i just leave it like this or i can't keep on running it ?

 

i haven't heard this noise before or wasn't noticed since i got the car

 

It's pass due for a valve adjustment. I wouldn't want to continue driving it until the valve adjustment is done.

 

I thought that the noise got louder as you approached the Timing Chain Tensioner area of the engine (passenger side). That part could be starting to fail, but you should do a valve adjustment either way.

 

I hear a symphony on different noises, most of which sound like a typical S2K engine. Can you elaborate on which noise sounds suspiscious?

 

It sounds like TCT noise to me... you could try doing another valve adjustment to rule it out, or just get an aftermarket TCT and see if that fixes the noise. Chances are, it's going to fail anyway

 

when i got my car everyone taught it was valves, jump on the forum found that the tct get defective. changed it out for heavy duty one and the noise whent away

 

+1 for timing chain tensioner. It's not the first time I've heard that
