I just followed the service manual instructions and found nothing confusing. Anyone who has ever seen the cover off a 4 cylinder Honda motorcycle engine will recognize the S2000 head. Good Honda motorcycle shop may be a better service shop than the car dealer's shop.

Agreed. Better than most local car mechanics as well. When was the last time a typical auto mechanic did a valve adjustment on anything...

Finished my valve job and now my car sounds like a diesel. Sigh guys I need to readjust then again. Intake is .021-.025 and exhaust is .025-.029 right?

Are you sure you used the correct unit feelers?

Not sure where you got those clearance specs from but not even close. Have a peek at this thread from Billman.

Here's my thread (with comments from Billman and the "go-no-go method") which spells it out super-simply for boneheads like me:

There is confusion in unit of measurement going on here.

"There is confusion in unit of measurement going on here."

Could be but it is always referenced in inches here on the forum. 0.008" intake and 0.012" exhaust are usually what the recommendation is.

I'm amazed it runs at all set like that.
