Better than being accidentally run way too tight, I'd imagine

Honda engines, at least the older ones, are ridiculous. I worked on an eg hatch that had been running for 100k with zero oil.

Those are almost the correct specs in mm. Using freedom units its .008" to .010" intake. .010" to .011 (but I use .012 exhaust)

If you read the fine print it tells you the valve clearance under the hood. However it's in mm.

Dipstick from top of measurement area to bottom of measurement area is a quart, so if you've got no oil on the dipstick at all you're probably at least a quart and a half low.

Exactly. People who don't understand things make observations, then make incorrect conclusions.

Dipstick reads zero oil and they assume engine has no oil.

Fixed the clearance but now the check engine light came on. Exhaust is .012 and intake is .010. What else could it be?

Code scanner? Any chance you didn't plug in a sensor around the cam cover?

Same thing happened to me after I did my first VA in my S. I had forgotten to plug a wire back in on the front below the cover - might have been the one that gets in the way when you are changing the oil filter? Not sure. But I was changing the oil and filter at the same time. I plugged it back in - light was gone.

I agree on a missed connector, but grab one of the wireless OBD2 dongles off Amazon for $15 bucks and a free app for your phone so you can pull codes in the future.

61-1 battery voltage malfunction
65-1 brake fluid is low
83-1 Ecm malfunction
P0113 intake air sensor

Those are the four that came up. I'm looking for a list of codes right meow.
