Default Valve springs get bent outa shape?

Hey all, well the valve retainers are being swapped out some time next week hopefully so I can clear my mind of any possible future headaches of valves dropping into the motor etc. I will be taking my car to an experienced s2k mechanic and he has informed me that a majority of the s2ks he has seen over 100k seem to have arched (bent) valvesprings. Meaning that if you took a valve spring and laid it on its side on a trued table that it would not sit completely flat and would have an arc to it. I was thinking about getting the valvesprings swapped out as well and possibly the valve seals while Im in there, do you guys think that is overkill? Have any of you had any experience with arc'd valvesprings or leaky valve seals?
